Stichting Dorean is a Dutch Foundation to promote the following activities and purposes:
Research on the phenomenology of nature, with special attention to genetic and evolutionary aspects.
Research on Viscum album (mistletoe) and its botanical family (Santalaceae).
Development of natural substances for non-profit use and support of the health of man, animals and plants.
Activities:
Organisation and performance of seminars on the scientific progress in the development of drugs prepared from the European mistletoe for its application in cancer therapy.
Publications on genetic and evolutionary aspects of mistletoe and cancer.
Dorean
The name “Dorean” is an ancient Greek adverb signifying „as a gift“, related to the word „dorea“ (gift). The word is used in its here referred to meaning e.g. in the Greek text of the New Testament (Matthew 10,8 and John 4,10).
